I never thought it was odd, it's like animals eating other animals. Replace animal with pokemon, each different type of pokemon is like a species of animal.
After all they all can't eat berries!

It's funny that they would eat Magikarp, since they're mostly just scales and bones..:XD:

And though I don't like the idea of Pokemon eating Pokemon either...I find it stupid that even Arodactyle (sp?) would eat fruit D: "Are you kidding me?! In a previous episode you said they were carnivores...plus look at those teeth!"

They make Pokemon more and more kid friendly as the years press on ^^;
